Eggertsson, formally launched the construction of new VR apartment buildings on the union‘s site in Úlfarsárdalur today, Thursday 10 August. This marks the beginning of a long-awaited construction of rental housing for members. An important day in the fight for a fair rental market, said the chairman of VR on the occasion.

New chairman of VR subdivision in South Iceland

Kolbrún Júlía Erlendsdóttir was elected chairman of VR‘s subdivision in South Iceland on May 31st 2023, at the division‘s annual general meeting. Kolbrún has worked for VR since 2017, first in workplace inspection and then in the union‘s Department of Employment Terms.
