The VR camping site in Miðhúsaskógur is now open. Members book a camping space on VR´s Holiday website (Orlofsvefur VR), where you can also see a map of the area. Each camping space is numbered, look for Tjaldstæði in the list.

Median Wages of VR members ISK 768,000 in February 2023

VR publishes information about its member’s wages twice a year. The median total salaries of VR members were ISK 768,000 per month in February 2023. Median base salaries were ISK 759,000.

The Camping Card is now available

VR members in good standing can now purchase the Camping Card for the summer of 2023.

Don’t forget your holiday bonus

In 2023 the holiday bonus for VR members is ISK 56,000 for those working a full-time job, and is to be paid out on June 1st. A full-time job is 45 weeks worked in 100% work excluding holiday time during the holiday reference year from 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2023.

The Board of VR declares its full support for the strike actions of members of BSRB, the largest federation of public worker unions in Iceland. BSRB members demand equality, the same wages as other workers for the same or similar work

Company of the Year 2023

VR presented the results of their annual Company of the Year survey at a well-attended reception in Harpa concert hall on 10 May 2023. The chairman of VR, Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson and Ásmundur Einar Daðason, Minister of Education and Children, presented awards to the top-performing firms.
