VR has published a calculator on the website that shows the possible benefits of the newly concluded collective wage agreements for members. Members enter their own assumptions into the calculator, e.g. family size, salary, amount of rent or mortgage, and see what effect the collective agreement and government intervention may have on the situation.

VR's Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, 21 March, 2024 at 19:30 in the hall Gullfoss at Fosshótel Reykjavík. The meeting will be both remote and on-site.

VR will present new collective agreements with the Icelandic Confederation of Business (SA) and the Icelandic Federation of Trade (FA) at a union meeting Monday 18 March. The meeting will be held in the Háteigur Hall at the Grand Hotel and starts at 12:00 noon. Light refreshments will be served.

The VR Election Committee hereby announces a secret, electronic vote on VR's newly concluded collective agreement with SA, The Icelandic Confederation of Business. Voting starts at 10:00 am on Monday 18 March 2024 and ends at 12:00 noon on Thursday 21 March 2024. All VR members who work according to the collective agreement have the right to vote.

VR and the Icelandic Confederation of Business (SA) have signed a collective agreement valid until the end of January 2028. The agreement will be presented at a membership meeting next Monday and voted on by members, scheduled to end on 21 March 2024.

Electronic elections for the Board of VR will end at 12:00 noon today, Wednesday, 13 March 2024. As of 9:00 this morning 3360 VR members had cast their votes, which is a 8,2% voter turnout.

The elections of the Board of VR, which lasted from 6 March until 12:00 noon on March 13, 2024, are now over. Total number of votes cast 3496. There was a total of 40,740 members on the electoral roll. Voter turnout was 8.58%.

A vote on a call to strike among VR members working in passenger and baggage services at Keflavík Airport opened at 9.00 am this morning, 11 March 2024, and concludes at 12:00 noon 14 March.
