Instructor: Þóra Valný Yngvadóttir, a business administration professional with an FPC certification in financial planning from the UK Department of Business.
Many of us aim to save, but it either doesn't happen, or we only manage it for a short while. In this short seminar, the role of savings will be covered and practical methods introduced to establish and maintain healthy financial habits. The goal is to change the way we approach saving, making it easier for everyone to reach their goals and fulfill their dreams. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to assess their savings or start saving. Learn how to allocate your money toward what matters most, as saving is the key to financial well-being. The course will explain various types of savings and the most common investment options in a clear and accessible way.
Þóra Valný has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector. She has worked as a financial advisor in England and as a leader in the Icelandic banking system. In addition, she delivers lectures and courses on nearly all aspects of finance across the country. Alongside her certifications in financial planning and securities trading, she is an ACC-certified coach. She runs the company Val og Virði, providing personal financial advice and offering courses to companies and institutions on topics such as finance and strategy.
The course will take place in the VR hall on the 9th floor of the House of Commerce, Kringlan 7. You can also attend via Teams. Breakfast will be provided for those who attend in-person. Select your preferred option above.
