VR Education Award

This year three companies, one in each size category, will receive the VR Education Award 2024. This is the first time this additional prize is awarded, in recognition of companies who strive to create working environments which allow their employees to engage in lifelong learning and develop their skills on the job. This new award is in line with VR’s goal of supporting lifelong learning among its members. The nature of work will change in the coming years, especially with regard to technological advances in the field of AI and it is crucial to prepare for that future.

Company of the Year 2024

The results from VR ‘s annual Company of the Year survey are in! This year was the most ambitious yet, with the survey reaching almost 43,000 individuals in the general labor market.

The fifteen companies with the highest overall score in each size category receive formal recognition as Model Firms 2024. VR congratulates them on their achievement

Family-Friendly Firms 2024

This year three companies, one in each size category, will be named as Family-Friendly Firms 2024. This is the second time VR awards this additional prize, in recognition of companies who strive to create a working environment which allows their employees to maintain a healthy balance between their professional and personal duties.

VR Education Award

Methology

VR's survey on the Company of the Year 2024 reached all VR union members. Additionally, numerous companies were invited to send the survey to all employees, not just VR members. In total, 158 companies accepted this offer.

The Nine Key Factors

In the VR survey on the Company of the Year, employees are asked about their attitudes towards nine key factors in the internal work environment of companies. Each key factor is given a rating from one to five, and together they form an overall score, both for the companies that appear on the lists and the overall score for all respondents in the survey.
