Candidates for VR Chair and Board

Candidates for the position of VR Chair and to the VR Board for the term 2025 - 2029 will introduce themselves and their priorities in a union meeting at Hótel Reykjavík Grand on March 5, 2025, at 7:30pm. An online meeting option will also be available via Mínar síður on vr.is, log in is by electronic ID. Interpretation into English will be available

Four candidates are running for VR Chair: Bjarni Þór Sigurðsson, Flosi Eiríksson, Halla Gunnarsdóttir, and Þorsteinn Skúli Sveinsson. Sixteen candidates are running for the Board, with elections being held for seven board seats and three alternate board seats. Detailed information about all candidates and their priorities can be found on the VR website, vr.is.
